Session of the CMC didn't take place because of the lack of quorum
The Chisinau Municipal Council didn't choose the members of the electoral bureaus and the President of the Central Election Commission. Today was the last day for those to be chosen. At the same time, many of Chisinau's citizens don't even know about the referendum, while those who know about it say that it will fail.
The session of the CMC didn't take place because of the lack of quorum. Only the socialist advisers were present.
''In the case, this is not going to be examined, we will appeal to the CEC. The members of the election bureaus will be named by the Local Election Commission'', said the interim secretary of CMC, Adrian Talmaci.
The liberals say they didn't come at the session, because they don't want to take part to the socialists' illegalities.
''We didn't participate, because we didn't want them to put their people in the election bureaus, making them biased'' said Ion Cebanu, a liberal adviser.
Even it is less than a month till the referendum, not all the Chisinau's citizens know about it.
''I don't know. I won't go to the elections.''
''I read somewhere about it, but it didn't interest me.
What is this about?
To save Chisinau, something like this.''
''I know about it. They want to chose again the chief of the country.''
''In November will take place Dodon's referendum. He wants to take the City Hall in his hands. I think that the smart people won't go to the referendum.''
''I totally agree with this referendum. I have never seen such a mess in this city before.''
The referendum according to Cirtoaca's dismissal will take place on November 19. In Chisinau there will be opened 307 voting sections.
