Several border-crossing points temporarily suspend activity on Romanian side
(UPDATE 12:55) All customs posts on the segment of the Moldovan-Romanian border resumed work after Romanian border authorities have resorted to the manual procedure of data processing, method which assumes the extension of the time of registration.
(11:28) Border-crossing points "Leuseni" "Sculeni" "Ungheni", "Costesti", "Lipcani" "Cahul", and "Giurgiuleşti" have temporarily suspended their activity on the Romanian side because of technical failures of database of Romanian border authorities. Also it is not authorized the border crossing for trains on the line "Chisinau-Socola" and "Ungheni-Iasi".
In these circumstances, travelers are advised to temporarily abandon their trips. Border Police relies on understanding and urges citizens to present conscientious attitude towards changes.
EU citizens can cross the state border without hindrance.
