Number of illnesses increased by 12 per cent and reached 2135, according to Health Department data last week. 

Specialists say most cases were recorded in children and adolescents. 

Mihai Moldovanu, chief of Health Directorate in Chisinau City Hall believes the situation is under control and the hospitals still have space for patients.  

Specialists recommend that children who get sick should avoid presenting in public.
