Silvia Radu: City Hall was in chaos, where nobody knew their duties
Silvia Radu declared that when she took the office, the City Hall was in chaos. The interim Mayor claims that she reviewed the institution, but has yet to find out just how many enterprises are working for the City Hall and what their duties are.
During last evening's Fabrika episode, Silvia Radu claimed that this was a mark left behind by the previous administration that mixed leading a City with the Party's interests.
"When there is bureaucracy, nobody does anything and are only employed to receive a salary, as they are party members, or solve the party's issues, the City is thrown into chaos, as Chisinau was for many years" interim Mayor of the Capital said.
Silvia Radu declared that a large reform will take place at municipal enterprises, so that they will start bringing in some income. According to her, there are some institutions that are simply living off public money.
"Enterprises cannot be exist only to serve the interests of those leading them. I wish for those companies to have a plan and finally become real enterprises with duties in 2018. We are in 21st century, it is time for everyone to learn how economy works" interim mayor explained.
Silvia Radu also stated that she has yet to decide if she will run for Mayor at the snap elections.
"I am still thinking. I will announce my decision to everyone when it is made. For now, I have too much on my plate. I must make sure that projects are begun and cannot be stopped by anyone who will come at helm" Radu declared.
Silvia Radu was named interim Mayor of the Capital on 6 November 2017.
