Silvia Radu paid visit to hospital of Traumatology and Ortopedics. She said they will monitor the hospital
The issue of the patients who stay on the waiting list for a surgery could be solved soon. Silvia Radu, the Minister of Health, Labor and Social protection paid a visit to the Traumatology and Ortopedics hospital from Chisinau and asked the director of the hospital to change the things.
A man is one of the 8.800 patients who stay in a row to wait for the surgery. He has been waiting for five years and today he will pass the surgery.
"I have been waiting for a long time. How is this possible? I can't even sleep because of the pain. Finally I will pass the surgery", said the patient.
A woman is on the waiting list since 2011. Because of the unbearable pain she decided to pay for the surgery.
"How did I resist? With anti-inflammatory treatments, injections. It was very hard."
Silvia Radu was angry on the things that some people are on the list since 2000.
The chiefs of the hospital have an explanation.
"It is impossible to operate such a big amount of patients. In the past two years, we had a lot of patients", said Viorel Vetrila, the director of the hospital.
The Minister of Health will monitor the activity of this hospital.
Silvia Radu was shocked when she went to check the food deposit.
"-It it working?
-Yes.
-I don't know so.
-How can u keep the fish in a fridge that doesn't even work?
-We don't have a fridge."
"I didn't know that the fridges don't work. We will find money to solve all these", said Viorel Vetrila.
This year, the Traumatology and Ortopedics hospital from Capital did 400 surgeries that were paid by the state budget.
