"I have also seen the video that has been going around, about how roads are being repaired. I have ordered for such works to be stopped. This method was used for years to cover potholes. It became a tradition, while Exdrupo employees used this procedure to remove potholes from the lack of zeal. It is true that those are only temporary solutions, made urgently, but even those are of very bad quality.
Unfortunately the weather does not allow for proper repair works to be done. Next week the asphalt manufacture will once again open and we will be able to begin. Chisinau looks like it has been assaulted by airstrikes. I urge citizens to have a little patience. Once the weather will allow us, road repair works will begin. Roads from the capital will be coated with asphalt, according to a well established program. The list of streets that will following be repair can be found on the City Hall's web page" Silvia Radu wrote.
In 2018 Ion Creangă street will be fully repaired and a roundabout will be build at the intersection of Studenților and Calea Orheiului streets from Râșcani sector.
At the same time, in 2018 rehabilitation works will begin on 31 August 1989, Tighina and Alexandru cel Bun streets, within the Second stage of the Program for modernizing and rehabilitating infrastructure in the Capital's center, financed by BERD, BEI and FSEV.
Also in 2018 the street light system will be modernized on Kiev street, Dacia boulevard, Viaduct, Ciuflea street, Alba Iulia, Calea Ieşilor streets, Moscovei, Mircea cel Bătrân boulevards, Great National Assembly Square, Bulgară street, Calea Moşilor, Budeşti, 2, including decorative illumination and crosswalk illuminations.
For the planned works were allocated around 380 million lei from the municipal budget.
