Socialist candidate for Chisinau Mayor, Ion Ceban, has doubts about the integrity of his opponent from DA Platform.

The Socialist said at press conference that Andrei Năstase has connections with various dubious people and there are questions on godson of the condemned oligarch Victor Topa.

"The only question to Andrei Năstase: how did the integrity test pass to Maia Sandu? if everything had been alright? Taking into account those things we know, the connection with various dubious people, and many other things, "said Ion Ceban, the socialist candidate for the Mayor position.

Andrei Năstase's integrity is also questioned by several political analysts and experts. A week ago, journalist Nicolae Negru said he did not believe in the noble intentions of DA Party leader.

He wrote in an article for the newspaper Național that the one who announces the fight against the oligarchy is Năstase -  an oligarchic tool.

Also, the former councilor of the President of Romania, the columnist Iulian Chifu, has recently written in an article that the decision of PAS leader Maia Sandu to support the godson of the convicted criminal oligarch Victor Țopa as mayor of Chisinau is a childish gesture and a lack of political experience.

Moldovan journalist Petru Bogatu also touched Năstase's fortune. He wrote about the fact that from his zero income he equals millions of lei between mother and mother-in-law. According to his wealth statement, Andrei Năstase has not officially won any money in the last two years. However, he managed to buy an agricultural land in 2017. The lot is added to the other nine pieces of land he holds. Andrei Năstase, the godson of the convicted criminal oligarch Victor Ţopa, also owns 11 houses.

He also has a luxury house where his wife and children are living in Bad Homburg, Germany, 25 kilometers from Frankfurt. 

The PPDA leader has repeatedly avoided providing clarity about the blurring of his wealth statement. The politician claims that, in fact, some of the properties indicated are some cottages.
