After a year of work, the Moldovan law-makers went for a vacation. Some will celebrate the New Year abroad, others will stay at home with their families.

"We have no plans to leave over these holidays. We’ll attend to some issues related to health," said PDM deputy Sergiu Sîrbu. 

The ministers are even less lucky since they are allowed to rest only over the weekend.

"No vacation, just work in the office. Just the weekend with the family. No mountain, no sea,” said Economy Minister Octavian Calmîc. 

"Actually I have no vacation. Only the New Year’s weekend and then back to work," said Culture Minister Monica Babuc. 

However, some hope to reach the mountains.

The MPs will resume work on January 16.
