Statistics: Moldovan exports to EU countries INCREASE, while those to CIS countries DECREASE
Moldovan exports to EU countries has increased by 9.4 percent in 2016 compared to the previous year, while deliveries of Moldovan goods to the CIS countries have decreased by 15.9 percent compared to those of 2015, according tot Moldpres.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics data, the share of EU countries in total Moldovan exports amounts to 65.1 percent compared to 61.0 percent in 2015, while the share of CIS countries has decreased from 25,0 to 20.3 percent.
About a quarter of food exports registered were food articles - 23.1 percent of total; and machinery and equipment for transport - 15.9 percent.
The structure of exports by product groups in 2016 was maintained at the previous year level.
Statistics show that imports have increased slightly, both in EU countries, which have increased by 1 percent, and from CIS countries, namely by 0.9 percent
The Ministry of Economy forecasts a decrease of 5 percent of the deliveries of Moldovan goods to foreign markets and a decrease of 6 percent of imports.
