Survey: 60% of citizens wish for Republic of Moldova to adhere to European Union
Were a referendum to take place next Sunday, citizens of Republic of Moldova would chose to adhere to the European Union. Latest survey shows that the Government must continue following an European track and integration.
According to the survey, 60% of citizens would chose for Republic of Moldova to adhere to European Union, 25% would be against it, 3% would refuse to vote, while 12% have not yet decided, or refused to answer.
If people were to vote for adherence to Eurasian Economic Union, 44% of citizens would vote for, 39% would vote against, 5% would refuse to vote, while 13% have not yet decided, or refused to answer.
If citizens were to chose to Unification of Romania and Moldova, 32% expressed their desire for the union, 54% responded that they are against it, 3% would refuse to vote, while 11% have not yet decided, or refused to answer.
According to the survey, 21% of questioned citizens would vote for Moldova's adherence to NATO, while 58% would be against it, 5% of citizens would refuse to vote, while 16% have not yet decided, or refused to answer.
Were next Sunday citizens requested to chose between Eurasian Economic Union and European Union.
According to the survey, 58% would vote for the European Union, 36% would vote for Eurasian Economic Union, while 8% have not yet decided, or refused to answer.
Over 58% of citizens encouraged the Government to continue pursuing an European track, 32% believes that the Government should concentrate on the Eurasian Economic Union, while 10% have not yet decided, or refused to answer.
If the future Government will chose to forsake European integration and would decide to support Eurasian Economic Union, over 39% of citizens would accept this decision, while 51% claim that citizens should protest on streets against it, while 9% have not yet decided, or refused to answer.
The survey, made by IMAS, between 27th November - 7th December, has questioned 1 101 people from 74 regions.
The possible error is estimated to be of +/- 3 %.
