Termoelectrica will be fined for overcharging thermal energy bills for January 2020. The National Energy Regulatory Agency of Moldova (ANRE) took note and notified the online petition signed by over 2630 petitioners.

ANRE examined all data provided in the thermal network by Termoelectrica and verified the correctness of the invoice issued by the supplier.

It was found that the billing period for January 2020 amounted to an average of 32-36 days, which is contrary to the provisions of the Regulation on the supply of thermal energy, approved by ANRE Decision no. 23/2017, which establishes the obligation of monthly billing of thermal energy consumption.
