The former Ministry of Internal Affairs, Alexei Roibu took part at an accident today, in Botanica sector of the Capital, he required medical care. After the impact, a car was crushed and the car of the former Minister was damaged.

The accident took place around 1 pm at the intersection between Dacia and Traian boulevards. According to the eyewitnesses, the guilty of the accident is Alexei Roibu who turned to the left very fast, without accelerating.

"The car of Citroen model was going on the hill, but the Scoda one on the valley, it turned very fast to the right. The car had excessive speed. Everything was unexpected."

Alexei Roibu didn't want to talk that much.

"How did the accident happen?
-As all the accidents.
-Who is guilty?
-The police is the one who will say the verdict."

After the impact, the former Affairs Minister suffered a head trauma and needed some medical treatments. The driver of the other car that was crashed was transported by emergency at the hospital. According to the doctors, her life is out of danger. The case is investigated by the police.

"We are waiting for the expertise's results, to establish the traumas of the other driver. If the traumas are medium or serious, the former minister risks to be searched", said Natalia Stati, press officer of the Capital Police.

The guilty driver risk a fine of 1 500 lei and six penalization points. Alexei Roibu was the Minister of Internal Affairs between 2011 and 2012.
