The United Kingdom has made a critical donation worth almost 390 thousand lei of protective equipment and medical and disinfection products upon the request of the Defense Ministry to NATO states.
"I am pleased to announce that the United Kingdom can provide support by providing personal protective equipment, including coveralls and equipment, thermometers and disinfectant in large quantities. I am proud that we can support the efforts of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Moldova to tackle the coronavirus pandemic as well as the medical institutions, which make significant efforts and work very selflessly for patients", said the British Defense Attaché, Rob Hall.
Defense Minister Alexandru Pînzari thanked the British people, mentioning that this donation is very important for the safety and health of the National Army soldiers, military doctors as well as of the Ministry employees, who are at the frontline of the fight against the spread of COVID-19.
