Three economic sub-zones will be opened soon in Moldova
Three Free Economic Zones can be opened in Moldova, the next year. The entrepreneurship zone will be localized in Hancesti, Criuleni and Calarasi. If some districts only talk about this idea, then in Calarasi there was identified the place where the zone will be placed. The potential investors came to test the market.
The authorities think it is about the last extension of the Economic zones from the country. The next spring, such a project will be debated at the Parliament.
"Let's use this opportunity of extending the Economic zones from the country. We have some international commitments that should be fulfilled", said Octavian Calmic, the Minister of Economy and Infrastructure.
Sergiu Artene is convinced the Calarasi town can be attractive for the investors. There is an infrastructure there, because the road Chisinau-Ungheni is repaired now, thus the Ungheni-Chisinau tube and Chisinau-Ungheni aqueduct will cross through the zone. The most important is that there are a lot of people there who want to get a job. Some foreign companies already tested the ground.
"The intention comes from the Arab Emirates. They want to came and make processing, packing and exportation of agricultural products centers. Obviously, they need space. Those investors are very important and their market is very important for us", said Sergiu Artene, the President of Calarasi district.
The ground has a 50 ha surface and is localized in Tuzara village, Calarasi district. The regional and local authorities will approve the utilization of this.
In a short time, on this ground there will be some factories for the processiong of the goods and the alimentary products. This means advantages for the residents of Calarasi town and for the ones from Tuzara village. Thus, people won't be obliged to go to work abroad.
People from the both localities appreciate the initiative and can't wait till they will find new work places.
"I think this is a big advantage, there will be a lot of new possibilities."
"Many people will find a job and won't leave our country."
"As a cooker with a thousand lei salary, it would be better to find a job with at least two thousand lei."
The authorities from Tuzara recognize the work places from the surrounding are not enough, as there are only six economic agents there.
"Around 30-40 work places, but the majority of our residents are employed in Calarasi. Some of them go to Chisinau, while others go abroad", said Ludmila Burghilea, the secretary of the Local Council from Tuzar village.
