Three educational institutions from Moldova will be supported in purchasing necessary materials for the proper functioning of the institutions and facilitating the integration of children with special educational needs in the social environment.

The initiative was launched in March by President of Moldovan Parliament Andrian Candu, who urged deputies and employees of the Parliament to implicate in collecting funds for a charity organized before Easter.

The institutions that will receive assistance were selected using an educational Program Step by Step, that promotes inclusive education for over 20 years for children with special educational needs and mental disorders.

Previously, at the initiative of President of Moldovan Parliament Andrian Candu an informational and discussion campaign was organized with deputies for people with special abilities in collaboration with Orhei Boarding School, The Association Motivatie, Municipal Department for Child Protection, Phoenix Center.

Parliament of Republic of Moldova promotes a policy of inclusion and equal opportunities for employment, as well as offers access to all visitors. The office being equipped with wheelchair ramps and disability bathrooms.

At the same time, between 2016-2018, through charity campaigns organized by the Parliament of Republic of Moldova, donations of over 250 000 lei were made. There were also organized Easter fairs where people from vulnerable families or with special needs participated. President of Moldovan Parliament also hosted an edition of Caritate Hospice Angelus ball, organized in partnership with Romanian royal family, a charity to gather necessary fund to rebuilt the concert halls from Ciprian Porumbescu lyceum.
