"Together we are stronger" campaign reached Cahul town. Moldova's future to be more prosperous
Attracting investment to develop medical and educational integration of children with special needs will get Moldova closer to the European Union.
This is what teachers and doctors in Cahul town want. The desire was expressed at the meeting with Democratic lawmakers in the "Together we are stronger" campaign.
PDM team visited the Blood Transfusion Centre in Cahul town, which in recent years has been restored thanks to European investments. The amount of money allocated has reached up to one million euros. Doctors expect other reforms.
"First, providing institutions with medical staff and advanced equipment to cope with the situation" , said Deputy Director of Transfusion Centre, Ghenadie Manole.
Democrats also went to the local College of Medicine, where they talked to students about the benefits of European integration.
"Moldova's European modernization is a qualitative transformation of the lives of our citizens. That means roads, buildings, health centers. The EU wants a strong and stable country at its border" , said PDM MP Valentina Buliga.
"Country's future will be more prosperous. People will raise their children here, work here, have interests here and will not be forced to go abroad" , said a local.
The "Together we are stronger" campaign has arrived at the "Mihai Eminescu" high school in Cahul town, where teachers have suggested opening of a unit of inclusive education for children with special needs.
"If we have such units here, there will be socialization. There will be a specialist who will help children to not feel discriminated" , said a teacher.
"I plead for the reintegration of these children with special needs in society. We, unfortunately, so far have isolated these children" , said PDM deputy, Elena Bacalu.
School management , and students have come up with proposals to develop the institution.
"We're waiting for collaboration and investment to improve the material basis of the schools. We hope for our institution to becom a model on child nutrition, school meals" , said the director of "Mihai Eminescu" High School in Cahul town, Ala Gaidar.
