Building the belt-road around Ungheni town is going to end by October. The Transports Ministry and the executing Czech company have come up with a plan to speed up the works.
The road will decrease the number of heavy trucks, which now run on the town’s streets.
At the same time, the distance between Chișinău and Romania’s Iași will decrease with 24 km.
According to Transports deputy minister Vitalie Rapcea, the belt-road is 8 km.
The works cost MDL10.7 m and are financed from a European grant.
