Traumatologist doctors from districts could be instructed by Romanian specialists to do arthroplasty
The procedure stipulates the applying of endoprosthesis at hip and knee. This theme was discussed within a bilateral meeting between the minister of Health Ruxanda Glavan and the minister of Health from Romania, Florian-Dorel Bodog.
At present, the arthroplasties are effectuated in two medical institutions from the Capital. As a result, to benefit for free from this procedure, the medically insured patients have to wait several years.
The minister of Health, Ruxanda Glavan, has a s aim to decentralize this service and to offer the traumatologist doctors from district hospitals the possibility to apply prostheses at hip and knee. Because the arthroplasties are effectuated solely by two teams of doctors, there are 12.000 patients on the waiting list.
The traumatologist doctors from district hospitals require being instructed to effectuate arthroplasties correctly. With this aim, Ruxanda Glavan, asked the support of the Romanian colleague Florian-Dorel Bodog.
"It is planned to instruct 25 doctors. We propose ourselves that the first traumatologist doctors be involved in this process already at the end of April. We would lie the doctors to do these probations in Romania. You have good specialists in the sphere and 121 centers where arthroplasties are effectuated", mentioned Ruxanda Glavan.
The minister of Health from Romania, Florian-Dorel Bodog, promised that he will try to identify the appropriate mechanism for the instruction of the doctors from Republic of Moldova by the Romanian specialists.
"It would be possible to sign a cooperation agreement between the ministeries, with this aim. We could instruct the doctors in around seven centers from Romania. In one center there are effectuated, weekly approximately four arthroplasties. We could send there, as students, to assist in the treatment hall. I think we can help you” ", specified the minister of Health from Romania, Florian-Dorel Bodog.
Within the meeting, the ministers of Health from the Republic of Moldova and Romania discussed about the possibility of the cooperation in the spheres oncology and hepatology.
