Travelers detained at Leuseni customs. Fake documents, a truck and five persons investigated by border police
Many of the travelers change their IDs. In the past days, three Moldovan citizens and two Ukraine were investigated. The border policemen of Leuseni and Briceni customs found five IDs with evident falsification signs.
At the end of the last week, at Leuseni customs there was detained a truck from Moldova-France route. A 37 year old man, passenger of the route intended to cross the border with fake IDs. After the checking, the officers found two fake, Romanian IDs in the bag of the man, that belonged to two men aged of 22 and 21 from Briceni. To confirm the truth of the acts, those were verified by special technique. Within the hearings, the man said he didn't know anything about the fake IDs, as somebody asked him to transmit the acts to some strangers in France.
At the same customs, in the entrance in the country, a driver of a Man truck transported a Schmitz tow with Moldovan plate license. Within the searches, there was proven that the truck had national consignment and the bodywork number of the trailer did not correspond to that indicated in its technical passport.The 52 year old driver said that he didn't know anything about the encroachments.
Other three cases were found at Briceni - Rossosani customs.
They came at the border crossing with a Suzuki Baleno car, whose driver was a 37 year old citizen of Ukraine. The border police found out that the car IDs were released by Poland authorities and the stamp on the matriculation was fake and the technical review was suspicious. The lack of the technical review has been proved.
Another 27-year-old is documented for using false documents, after he attempted to cross the border with a Volkswagen Golf registered in Republic of Moldova. At the crossing points, officers have noticed that the car's documents lacked some security measures. Therefore, additional investigations were made, confirming that the document was forged.
A citizen from Ukraine, driving a VAZ car, was documented for owning a false driver's license, at the Briceni – Rossoșani customs. After investigating the driver's licence using ultraviolet ray, it was established that the license lacked multiple security measures. The 38-year-old man being unable to explain the findings, nor his reasons for passing the border. As a result, Customs officers have acted accordingly to the law.
For all cases were imposed measures, verbal processes were drawn up, while the documents were confiscated and sent to the forensics for further investigations. The truck was placed within the headquarters of the Northern Department until all circumstances will be established. The man risks a fine to 650 conventional units, or 150 to 200 hours of unpaid community service, or to 2 years behind bars.
