Turkish Premier Binali Yildirim meets Moldovan counterpart on first day in Moldova
The Premiers of Turkey and Moldova have had their first official meeting today, as Binali Yildirim has started his working visit to Moldova.
"100,000 euros have got to the account of the Finance Ministry. Turkey is a very important partner for Moldova. It’s one of the seven most important trade partners. And there is a lot of potential to capitalize on," said Prime Minister Pavel Filip.
The money he mentioned is meant as aid for Moldova to liquidate the consequences of the devastating snowfalls of late April.
The Ankara Premier is yet to meet the head of the state, Igor Dodon and Parliament President Andrian Candu.
Binali Yildirim will attend the inauguration of the new headquarters of the Turkish Embassy in Chișinău, a business forum and will visit the Mother and Child Institute.
Pavel Filip and his counterpart will go to Comrat, to meet Gagauzia’s governor and will attend the fourth world congress of the Gagauzians.
The two officials will set the foundations of an ‘environment-friendly’ hotel and will visit the Comrat University.
