A driver from Cahul was caught while drunk driving. He tried to bribe the policemen, to avoid the punishment. The suspect proposed 2 000 lei to the police inspector, instead, he received a penal case on corruption.

If found guilty, he risks up to 6 years in prison and a 20 thousand lei fine. 

A few days ago, a citizen from Chisinau was detained by CNA officers for a similar tentative. The man proposed 100 euros to a police officer after he was caught drunk while driving. The cases are investigated.
