Two men from Republic of Moldova were hospitalized in critical condition yesterday, after a fire burst in a parked truck from Vrancea, being followed by an explosion. The flames spread to a building located nearby, wrote ziaruldevrancea.ro.

Multiple firefighter teams were dispatched, as well as a SMURD ambulance to assist the two men.

"The fire took place in a truck from Golești commune. The fire resulted in two men being injured. A 36-year-old victim received 2nd and 3rd degree burns on close to 50% of his body. The second victim, also 36, received 1st and 2nd degrees burns on around 30% of this body" spokesman of Romanian General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, Florin Olaru, declared, quoted mediafax.ro.

Firefighters have established that the fire was caused by a flame cooking lamp, the fire having afterward spread to a building nearby. The truck's cabin burned to ashes.
