Two persons injured after fire and explosion in the country
Two people were injured from fires in the last 24 hours.
According to IGSU, a 81-year-old man from Pociumbăuţi, Rîşcani district, suffered with 2nd and 3rd degree burns on his back, face and hands, after his house was set to fire.
Flames destroyed several items in the house, and the house owner was transported to the hospital.
The cause of fire is due to be determined.
Another incident occurred in the Năpădeni village, Ungheni district which injured a 37-year-old man. A gas leak from a cylinder resulted in an explosion.
The owner's hands were burned but he refused hospitalization.
Firemen's intervention was also requested in the Capital. A fire broke out yesterday in an apartment on 33/1 Trandafirilor Street. Flames destroyed an area of 35 square meters.
Circumstances and the cause are to be established.
