Two prosecutors of Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office have resigned
Two more prosecutors of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office have resigned: Dorin Compan and Lilian Rudei. The information was confirmed for Publika TV by the press officer of the General Prosecutor's Office, Maria Vieru, who states that the two have written resignation requests on their own initiative.
Dorin Compan declined to comment on the decision while Lilian Rudei didn't answer our phone call.
Dorin Compan is no longer active in the Prosecutor's Office today, and Lilian Rudei has left since January 29th.
Lilian Rudei has been active in the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office for 12 years.
Two days ago, Prosecutor General Alexandr Stoianoglo told reporters that he had proposed to several prosecutors to leave the system, following the checks carried out at the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office and PCCOCS.
"I do not have the right to dismiss the prosecutors. The resignation may be voluntary or in case of disciplinary misconduct. I did not force anyone, I proposed them to leave voluntarily. Some criminal files will be started and I will suspend their duties then anyway", said Stoianoglo.
