Rector ULIM, Andrei Galben, passed away last night at the age of 69 due to a heart attack. According to his colleagues, the academician attended a TV show last night.

He passed on in his residence in Chisinau.

Andrei Galben was born in 1948 in the Slaveanca village, Sangerei district. He became doctor in history at the age of 27. He founded the first private university in Moldova in 1992. 

The institution announced a week of mourning. According to Moldpres, Andrei Galben will be buried on Wednesday.
