The Moldovan Security Service (SIS) and prosecutors have discovered a gang specialized in selling radioactive material.
Two members of the criminal group are Moldovan citizens and have been detained. The SIS squad have found on them a big amount of uranium, which they planned to sell for $210,000.
The law-enforcers investigate the origin of the radioactive material and the possible involvement of other people in the scheme.
If proven guilty, the detained may get up to 10 years of prison.
