US Congressman Will Hurd has visited Republic of Moldova on April 4 2018, having met with President of Moldovan Parliament Andrian Candu, Foreign Minister Tudor Ulianovschi, and Democratic Party leader Vlad Plahotniuc. The officials have spoken on various topics, such as: the reform progress in Republic of Moldova, the hybrid war led by Russia, Moldova's fight against corruption etc.

On Representative Will Hurd's web page was mentioned that the US official appreciated the decision taken by authorities from Moldova to expulse three Russian diplomats is an act of solidarity with EU member states, in the Skripal case. 

"Moldova has been a steadfast partner of the U.S. and Europe, most recently demonstrated by the solidarity taken with the U.S. and European states by expelling Russian diplomats in response to the Russian nerve agent attack in the UK" Will Hurd declared.
