US Secretary of State, Victoria Nuland: USA supports Moldova. You showed that it is possible
“United States support the good cooperation and synchronization between Moldovan Parliament and Government. Moreover, the US will back Moldova in getting the program with the International Monetary Fund, if all IMF preconditions will be fulfilled”. It is the message from Assistant Secretary of State, Victoria Nuland and the Deputy of the Assistant of Secretary of State, Bridget Brink at the meeting with Parliament Speaker Adrian Candu.
The American officials welcomed the fulfillment of more than 90% of provisions of the road map on Moldova - EU priority reforms agenda.
"The US will support Moldova in getting the program with the International Monetary Fund, if all IMF preconditions will be achieved", was the joint statement of senior US officials during the meeting.
Assistant Secretary of State, Victoria Nuland said she appreciated the good timing and cooperation between the Moldovan Parliament and Government.
“I congratulate the parliamentarians and the Moldovan Government for the obtained results. You showed that it is possible. Go forward and you will have our full support in the fulfilment of reforms” declared the American high official.
In her turn, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Bridget Brink noted that social dialogue, insurance of consensus and the continuation of reforms in Moldova are essential.
