USA continues to support Republic of Moldova and invest in projects
The United States will continue to support our country. This is the message of the Deputy Administrator for Europe and Eurasia of the US Agency for International Development, Brock Bierman, during a meeting with the President of the Democratic Party, Vlad Plahotniuc.
The US official said he is looking forward to the day when Moldova will become so developed that, along with the US, it will be able to help other states. Brock Bierman also believes that our country has tremendous potential for tourism development and can become Napa Valley in California, a true tourist attraction with 400 wine factories.
The leader of the democrats, Vlad Plahotniuc, said that the Chisinau authorities will improve the legal framework for the development of the country's economy, including for those left to return to Moldova. The two also discussed the political situation in our country, including the electoral process.
According to Brock Bierman, the US wants to help Chisinau to advance democratic processes. In this context, Vlad Plahotniuc stressed that Parliament has already voted in the first reading on the law on party financing, which will ensure better transparency in this area. Brock Bierman has Moldovan origins, especially his father's bun from Soroca.
The official was pleased with the Moldovan wine. "We will do our best to continue to be proud of where you came from," - said the president of the Democratic Party, who gave him a bottle of collectible wine.
