Vasile Botnari was named director of Information and Security Service of the Republic of Moldova, after being voted by 53 deputies.

The mandate of Vasile Botnari as ISS director will last for the next 5 years.

Vasile Botnari is also member of Democratic Party of Moldova since 2016.

The vacation was opened after in February, Vitalie Pârlog resigned.
