Vestmoldtransgaz company is going to be privatized for a sum of 180 million lei (8,8 million euros), with the condition of investing 93 million euros in the next two years.

The Chisinau authorities say they took this decision, because of the construction of a tube Ungheni-Chisinau and to avoid the loans.

Previously, the Government negociated the allocation of 92 million euros by the BERD, for the construction of the Ungheni-Chisinau tube( BEI and BERD would have allocated 41 million euros and EU a grand od 10 million euro, Moldova's contribution is a million euros), writes radiochisinau.md.

At the same time, the Government approved the project of BERD, BEI and UE's loans. Now, Moldova won't receive those money and the costs will be covered by the company that will privatize Vestmoldtransgaz.

Most probably, the company who will privatize will be Transgaz a monopoly of the gases transportation from Romania. In the first semester of this year, Transgaz obtained a 400,5 million Romanian lei(87,5 million euros), 42,1% more than the previous year.

The company raised its affairs with 26,2% in the first semester, till 1,03 milliard lei(226 million euros).

Thus, the shareholders of Transgaz will approve the foundation of a society with limited reponsabilities, on Republic of Moldova's territory.

Thus, it is officially confirmed the intention of the Romanian company Transgaz to privatize the Vestmoldtransgaz companu, announced by the Agency of Public Propriety from the middle of 2017.

Vestmoldtransgaz was founded in 2014 to manage the gases transportation on the Iasi-Ungheni road and to prestate gase services on Moldova's territory.

At the beggining of September 2017, the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure from Republic of Moldova announced the Vestmoldtransgaz has got the certificate of urbanism for the implementation of the project of construcution of a tube Ungheni-Chisinau.

Romanian Ministry of Economy announces on October 13 that with the same institution from Republic of Moldova they will commonly act to supplement the European finances.

The ministry said Transgaz it's on its suborder and they will act together for the construction of Ungheni-Chisinau tube.
