The running water won’t be a luxury for scores of villages from Soroca district, as a new pipe is to be built in the area.

The authorities started a project meant to bring water from the Dniester to over 6,000 households in 15 villages.

"This is a very beneficial project, because the wells just dry out the soil. We want to expand the water grid," said Constructions Ministry secretary Dorin Andros.

The project costs MDL27.5 and will run two years.
