Vlad Plahotniuc's "Edelweiss" Foundation launches new social campaign to help young families
The first present in one’s life comes from Vlad Plahotniuc’s “Edelweiss” Foundation. The Organization launched a social campaign to support young families and children in Moldova. In its framework, all babies born at the Institute of Mother and Child receive a set of products for newborns. The first boxes are already at the Maternity, and the surprise has moved the young mother to tears.
“We are form Vlad Plahotniuc’s “Edelweiss” Foundation and we came from the founder of Edelweiss to offer you this gift. This box is designed to be the first crib of the baby.”
From the first day of the campaign, 60 boxes with products necessary to take care of newborns have got to the young mothers. Each set contains diapers, clothes, detergent, a mattress and a blanket.
“We hope that they will be useful. We tried to bring you everything what is useful. – Thank you. Thank you very much. Thank you Mr. Plahotniuc. It is a very pleasant surprise.”
“Diapers, blanket. Cool. Costume (shows).”
The gesture has moved some mothers to tears. The women say that the gifts will be very useful.
“Thank you very much…excuse me, emotions (starts crying) The first help, that is why I was so touched.”
“There are days which are not easy at all, but you make them very beautiful. Thank you very much.”
In a post on his Facebook page, Vlad Plahotniuc wrote that the idea of the project was inspired from the practice of many countries, where this kind of boxes are offered through national programs, financed by the state.
“I think it is a welcomed help, and the initiative deserves to have a future, and I hope that in a short period of time, the state will have the necessary money to overtake this initiative, to make it permanent and implemented in all maternities in the country” wrote the president of the foundation on the social network.
In Moldova, the project launched by Vlad Plahotniuc’s “Edelweiss” Foundation will be led at least until the end of 2016, with the slogan “A new life”.
