Over 30 volunteers and associations in the country who were actively involved in public life this year were awarded during at the Gala of Festival Volunteers. All who have demonstrated civic spirit have been nominated in ten categories.

Winners claim that volunteering is a very important engagement.

"A young man who gets involved in an association and does hours of volunteering is an beneficial activity when looking for a job" ,  said chairman of volunteering association in Rezina town, Liuba Stavinschi.

Minister of Youth said that volunteering should be heavily promoted in rural areas.

"Each institution, local government, NGOs, central government, businesses need to accredit and create support platforms for volunteers, and I am sure we will have a more pragmatic generatic, more responsible and more prepared in terms of professionality ", said the minister of Youth and Sports, Victor Zubcu.

Attending the event, Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu has handed the diplomas and money prizes.

"Parliament is an institution which hosts volunteering. Volunteers will be those who find their work in Parliament, helping the team to prepare, for example, plenary sessions" ,  said Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu.

Volunteers Gala Festival reached its 14th edition.
