Vulnerable children received pleasant surprise. Police officers went around Moldova bringing gifts
Over two thousand children from vulnerable families received gifts. Police officers went to the country's North and South within the Christmas Fair campaign "At home for Christmas".
Comrat's heart became a fairy tale for kids. Children from boarding houses have danced around the Christmas tree and met with Santa Claus.
"We received candies, which is very pleasant. We love getting gifts."
"I loved everything that was organized for us. I wish to say thank you for those gifts."
"We danced and afterward Santa Claus came and gave us gifts. I wish to express my gratitude for this holiday we got to experience."
The institution's directors claim that such event allow children to forget for a while all the misfortunes that happened to them.
"Today's event is very interesting and benefits our children, especially those who ended up with us due to some issues. It is a good occasion for them to meet others from the same age category" deputy director of Ceadîr-Lunga boarding school, Ecaterina Marinciu declared.
Along with the gifts, children also received a lesson from police officers regarding security law.
"We came to inform children how to act in traffic, what rules they should abide when walking the streets, when going around singing carols, to be wary of thieves, or bad people. To always be safe and avoid firecrackers that are dangerous" chief from public security department of General Police Inspectorate, Daniel Mazepa said.
Multiple residents of Bălţi city have also received gifts from police officers.
"I received juice, cookies and candies. Thank you for those gifts."
"Thank you very much to those who gave gifts."
The actions are organized by the Government, law enforcement and multiple non-profit organization, within the Christmas Fair "At Home for Christmas". The initiative belongs to PM Pavel Filip.
