WB director for Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine starts new job
Satu Kahkonen assumed office as World Bank Country Director for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova.
“Ms. Kahkonen oversees the program of the bank in three countries and conducts policy dialogue with governmental partners, civil society and other partners,” the World Bank said.
Satu Kahkonen had earlier worked in the central office in Washington as the Director of the Macroeconomics and Fiscal Management Global Practice at the World Bank Group.
Prior to this, Ms. Kahkonen was a Sector Manager in the Poverty Reduction and Economic Management unit that covered 18 countries of East and South-East Europe, Belta News Agency reports.
