Public transport in Chisinau and Balti operates normally, and travel by trolleybus or bus is no longer free. Passengers are required to wear protective masks and no more than 35 passengers should be in a public transport unit.
Dozens of people were waiting for buses and trolleybuses in the morning at the stations. Most were wearing masks and gloves.
"I'm going to work now. I'm an accountant and I need to earn some money", a passenger said.
However, some passengers didn't put on masks but left them in their bags or only wore them after entering the trolleybus. Some even didn't care at all.
According to the press officer of the Capital Police, Natalia Stati, the passengers who will not have a mask in the public transport risk a fine in the amount of up to 25 thousand lei. People are also urged to call 112 if they notice passengers on trolleybuses or buses that are not properly equipped.
