The HoReCa sector (restaurants, hotels and cafes) could resume its activity from June 1 if the evolution of the epidemiological situation will be maintained in the current parameters. The announcement was made by Prime Minister Ion Chicu, during a meeting with the Association of Foreign Investors in Moldova.

At the same time, the Prime Minister stated that HoReCa will benefit from the loan interest subsidy instrument.

In the same meeting, the subject of amending the regulations was addressed in order to allow the activity of the petrol stations in self-service regime, without the involvement of the operators.

"The government is aiming to maintain a prudent balance in the quarantine process. Too much indifference on the part of the people can create a wave of infections and lead to the suffocation of the health system. Too much caution on the part of the authorities could lead to social-economic collapse", Ion Chicu declared at the meeting of the Association of Foreign Investors in Moldova.
