Will Moldovans living in Ireland be able to vote in November elections?
Ireland announced a nationwide “stay at home” order for six weeks, putting a risk that Moldovans living in this country will not be able to vote in the presidential elections on November 1.
The maximum level of health alert implies the most drastic restrictions. No one leaves the house without good reason. Exercise is allowed up to 5 kilometers away from home. Only the essential stores remain open. Restaurants and bars only make home deliveries.
Meetings between friends or family are no longer allowed, whether indoors or in the yard. However, schools and nurseries will remain open.
In this regard, the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Ireland has urgently requested from the Department of Foreign Affairs of Ireland, instructions on the conduct of the November 1 election, including the movement of Moldovan citizens to the polling stations.
