A 57-year-old woman from the northern district of Drochia was stabbed by her male partner and died.

According to the police, the two fought and the man took a kitchen knife and stabbed her in the heart.

The corpse was found by a neighbor, who alerted the police.

The 55-year-old suspect was detained and now faces up to 20 years in prison.
