Young people from the Democratic Party have celebrated today State Flag Day, by gifting flags to people from the Capital, as well as in other districts from the country.

"We decided to celebrate today in such a way. It improves the citizens' moods" president of Young Democrats of Centru sector, Andrei Berlinschi said.

"It is something we do for a few years now, we wish to rise awareness among citizens and therefore the love toward state symbols" secretary general of Young Democrats, Eugen Gârlea declared.

The Young Democrats were also joined by deputy Sergiu Sîrbu.

"People are extremely happy when we gift them the flag, congratulate and wish them a nice day. They always smile afterward" PDM deputy, Sergiu Sîrbu declared.

The gesture was appreciated by people:

"Thank you. It is very pleasant."

"It is very beautiful. They should organize such events more often."

Still, some people were not even aware of what the celebration was about.

"Did you know that today was the State Flag Day? - No."
