A 19-year-old man has been taken into custody after deadly stabbing a 66-year-old woman. The crime occurred last night in Cuizăuca village of Rezina district.

According to the police, the suspect went paid a visit to the victim, they drank alcohol and then started fighting.

The young man took a kitchen knife and stabbed the women in the throat area.

The woman died and the man was detained.

He acknowledged his guilt and now faces 15 years of prison.
