A 27-year-old man from Chisinau was arrested on suspicion of theft and robbery, both which took place in Botanica sector of the Capital. The suspect was recently released from prison, having served for similar actions.

According to law enforcement, the suspect stole 2 cell phones worth 2 000 lei each from a pharmacy on Independenţei street, causing a 4 150 lei damage.

Another case took place on April 15, where the man supposedly stole from a 39-year-old woman a bike worth 5 700 lei.

During questioning the suspect confessed, being taken into custody for 30 days. He now risks 5 to 7 years behind bars.
