The blizzard has passed but its consequences didn't. Dozens of villages remained in darkness and thousands children haven't been to school today. Anyway, the traffic on the national roads was without any difficulties. All the winter service vehicles cleaned the national and local highways.
The road workers cleaned the Slobozia - Horodiște - Lalova highway from Rezina district, where the snow was one meter height in some places.
"The road workers intervened today on the local roads, to open the second traffic line. They used such trucks that throw the snow directly on the land, which is very comfortable", said Nicoleta Apostol, Publika TV reporter.
Ion Mirzac from Horodiste village, Rezina district helped the drivers who got stuck in the snow, due to his tractor.
"I helped everybody who asked me. The Police Inspectorate called me to help them. Many drivers were with their children and they asked me to help them and I did it", said Ion Mirzac, villager of Horodiste.
Five cars among which a minibus with passengers stationed on the road. People have been waiting till the snow was cleaned and then, they continued their road.
In Horodiste, the drivers helped each other through cleaning the snow with the shovel.
The road workers worked on the highways from Stefan Voda, Causeni and Criuleni. According to the workers, on some road portions from the south of Moldova, the snow was four meters high. The State Roads Administration sent winter service vehicles to clean the highways.
"Today, the circulation is easier, because almost all the roads were cleaned", said Gheorghe Curmei, the chief of the Road State Administration.
Chiril Gaburici, the minister of Economy and Infrastructure went to Criuleni to watch how do the cleaning works take place.
"I am pleased about the working process and about the teams. The biggest problem is the irresponsible drivers who didn't change the summer wheels", said Chiril Gaburici, the minister of economy and infrastructure.
45 educational institutions suspended their activity for today. Almost 11 000 children from eight districts haven't been to school. Among them, there are the pupils from Hartopul Mare, Criuleni district.
"Now, we repair the electricity wires. Also, there is a problem with the school and we had a problem with a pregnant women who should have been transported by emergency to the hospital. It was hard, but, in the end, we managed to do this", said Anatolie Delimarschi, the mayor of Hartopul Mare village.
Now, 150 villages from 13 districts face power cut. Pavel Filip asked to solve this problem as soon as possible, within the yesterday session of the Government.
