Customs Officers have new ethics code
The employees of the Customs Service have a new ethics code adapted to international standards.
The modified code has been presented today at a news conference by the Customs Service chief Vitalie Vrabie.
"Insuring the professional integrity is a key factor for the success of the institutional reform. The customs must and will be a transparent and efficient institution, and the ones willing to get into the new structure will pass a demanding filter and will have to show professionalism and integrity,” he said.
The Customs Service’s achievements in terms of integrity have been praised by the deputy head of the EUBAM office in Chișinău, Adrian Costache: "Drafting a new ethics code is a key stage in fighting corruption the administration of the Customs Service committed to.”
