Princess Mary of Denmark encourages mothers to vaccinate children
Her Highness Mary of Denmark urges parents not to question the effectiveness of immunization, which has been scientifically proven.
Princess Mary has spoken after visiting the store vaccines in the National Center for Public Health.
Princess Mary said that her children are healthy due to vaccination.
"My children have been vaccinated. As a mother I will not challenge the results of scientific research which confirms that vaccines save lives and prevent diseases. I believe every child has the right to be vaccinated" , said Danish Crown Princess Mary.
The World Health Organization Regional Director for Europe appreciated the quality of vaccines distributed in Moldova.
"I am impressed by the quality of vaccines, from their receipt to the administration. I am impressed Moldova uses the best vaccines for children" , said WHO Regional Director for Europe Zsuzsanna Jakab.
For the second consecutive year, WHO will provide free flu vaccines to our country.
"Moldova has benefited from lots of free vaccines in 2015 with the direct support of World Health Organization. Last year we received 150,000 doses. Now the amount is at 200,000 doses to arrive in the country by November 30th" , said Health Minister Ruxandra Glavan.
Authorities have approved this year the fifth National Immunization Program. It includes eight mandatory vaccines, which fight 12 most dangerous infections for health and life.
