New traffic signs to be installed in Capital
95 new traffic signs will be installed in Chisinau. The road signs will show directions to other places in the country and will be placed on the main streets of the capital and at the exit of Chisinau. Authorities believe for the road signs will allow a flow traffic.
Signs will be placed under a scheme developed by specialists of the National Inspectorate Patrol and Transport Department of the City Hall.
According to the National Inspectorate Patrol, many drivers encounter problems because of the small number of signs. Foreigners encounter problems while transiting the country.
Drivers agree that Chisinau should have more informational road signs.
Capital authorities do not know the exact number of signs in the city, but say most are old and should be replaced.
