Moldovan employees to benefit from longer periods of sick leave

Six out of ten employees in the capital took at least one sick leave last year. The average duration was of 16 days, two more than in 2015.
According to statistics of the Municipal Public Health Center, employees of the transport sector have had the longest sick leave.
The duration of sick leave of employees in agriculture was of 12 days, while those in construction for 10 days. The Centre of Public Health in Capital claim that the number of employees who took sick leave has increased because the working conditions of employees.
In this context, experts recommends employers to observe the regime of work and rest of workers and exclude stressful situations during the program.
