Saint Liturgy gathered tens of believers in the second day of Easter at the Mitropolitan Cathedral "Birth of Lord" from the Capital. A synod of priests from all the country officiated, together with the all-holy Vladimir, Metropolitan of Moldova. The clerics sent the joy of Jesus’ Resurrection.

Metropolitan Vladimir welcomed the bishop at the entrance in the Cathedral.

The ministers of the Church change their white clothes that they have worn in the Resurrection’s night with the one of red color on the second day of Easter, which symbolize the Savior’s blood.

Here’s what parishioners say: 

"These are moments of the soul, which enlighten us on life, give us ponders to beautiful things, to beautiful facts ".

"The Lord’s Saint Resurrection is celebrated three days according to the Christian-orthodox tradition. For many years we go to the resurrection church service. I came to get closer to God and to be joyful".

"Let us pray with all our soul of what we have in our hearts, one sometimes feels the need to come to the church and to tell the soul’s pain, which one cannot tell anyone".

The church’s servants urge the believers to be closer to God in the Enlighted Week.

Vadim Cheibaş, priest, declared: "This holiday is celebrated three days, it’s the most important holiday from the whole year. Because the Easter’s celebration doesn’t suppose solely the celebrating in family or with friends, but also the attendance of saint sanctuaries to share our thoughts with God.

They don’t read the Psalter and don’t do requiems for the dead according to the canons. The church’s services are re-taken after Tomii’s Sunday. Also, the funeral church services are officiated according to a special ordinance. The Resurrection’s church service replaces the funeral church service, which signifies the victory of life on death.
