Moldovan deputies queued today to donate blood to children in difficult situations. The move was proposed by Parliament President Andrian Candu on the occasion of Children’s Day.

They donated by 450 milliliters at specially arranged point within the Parliament precincts.   

The law-makers duly received a certificate allowing them one day off, but they said they were responsible and would go to work.

"I feel extraordinarily, especially for the gesture we’re making today. This is the way we chose to usefully mark the Children’s Day,” Andrian Candu said.
